During four days, until January 29, a number of public lectures, round-table discussions as well as meetings with local experts will be held.<br \/>\nThe goal of the visit is two-fold. First and more importantly, Georgian experts will share their experience with Ukrainian colleagues regarding the issues that interest the Ukrainian society. Additionally, the Georgian delegation will receive up-to-date information on the current developments in Ukraine directly from the grassroots level, i.e. local NGO representatives and experts.<br \/>\nOn January 26, Caucasian House together with its partner organization \u2013 Institute of World Policy \u2013 will hold a public discussion: \u201cUkraine-Russia: Conditions of Peaceful Coexistence.\u201d Speakers include <strong>Volodymyr Ohryzko<\/strong>, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (2007-2009) and <strong>Georgi Kunadze<\/strong>, Deputy of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia (1991-1993).<br \/>\nOn January 27, a round table \u201cGeorgian Experience for Ukraine\u201d will be organized with participation of Georgian and Ukrainian experts in order to discuss the issues related to the problems of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and tax reform. <strong>Iulia Kharashvili<\/strong>, the Chair of IDP Women Association \u201cConsent\u201d, will speak about Georgia\u2019s experience in dealing with challenges facing IDPs. <strong>Samson Uridia<\/strong>, the Head of Foreign Relations Department of the Revenue Service of Georgia, will discuss the opportunities and challenges of tax reform in Georgia. Ukrainian experts will have an opportunity to share their views on these issues for the meeting to be interactive.<br \/>\nFor the in-depth study of the current developments in Ukraine, during January 28-29, representatives of Caucasian House, <strong>Giorgi Kanashvili<\/strong> and <strong>Tato Khundadze <\/strong>will visit Odessa to meet representatives of local NGOs as well as the Odessa branch of the Centre for Strategic Studies under the Auspices of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine. The goal of the meetings is to establish close ties with the local NGOs and think tanks in Odessa.
