{"id":1665,"date":"2015-09-23T21:18:38","date_gmt":"2015-09-23T21:18:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/caucasianhouse.ionic.host\/?p=1665"},"modified":"2015-09-23T21:18:38","modified_gmt":"2015-09-23T21:18:38","slug":"annual-university-on-conflicts-and-development-call-for-applications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/caucasianhouse.ge\/en\/news\/annual-university-on-conflicts-and-development-call-for-applications\/","title":{"rendered":"Annual University on Conflicts and Development &#8211; Call for applications"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Centre for Cultural Relations \u2013 Caucasian House (Tbilisi, Georgia) invites you to \u00a0participate in a competition for taking part in \u201cAnnual University on Conflict and Development\u201d organized in the framework of the project \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/caucasianhouse.ge\/en\/ukraine-out-of-the-crisis-through-dialogue\" target=\"_blank\">Ukraine \u2013Out of the Crisis through Dialogue<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>CONTENT OF THE PROJECT <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In September 2014, Caucasian House started to implement the project\u00a0<i><a href=\"https:\/\/caucasianhouse.ge\/en\/ukraine-out-of-the-crisis-through-dialogue\" target=\"_blank\">Ukraine \u2013 out of the Crisis through a Dialogue<\/a><\/i>, supported by the British embassy Kyiv. The goal of the project is twofold: on the one hand promoting transformation of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia through organizing face-to-face meetings in Georgia among Russian and Ukrainian experts,\u00a0representatives\u00a0of\u00a0civil society and mid-career officials, and on the other hand supporting Ukraine\u2019s political and economic transformation by sharing Georgia\u2019s experience.\u00a0A partner organization from Ukraine is the\u00a0<strong><i>Institute of World Policy<\/i>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Following University is a continuation of this process. It focuses on increasing confidence among Ukrainian and Russian future leaders and potential decision-makers through raising awareness about conflicts and types of solutions through promoting rational discussions. It is a unique opportunity for young professionals from Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, EU and Georgia to engage in this process and develop new ideas on conflict transformation between Ukraine and Russia.<br \/>\nInvited international speakers as well as speakers from the region will deliver lectures on the nature of conflicts in the post-soviet space and based on case\u2013studies, ongoing conflicts in the region and around the world will be analyzed.<br \/>\n<strong>All in all, 32 participants from Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, EU and Georgia will attend six-day (18-23 May) lecture series on conflict analysis in Batumi, Georgia.
