The visit of Georgian Diaspora living in Russia to Tbilisi has started on the 26th of October in the frame of project “Georgian-Russia Dialogue for Peace and Cooperation”. The visit lasted until the 30th of October. Its main aim was to promote the strengthening of bilateral relations between Georgian socially active groups and young Georgians living in Russia.
In the framework of the visit, the first meeting was held with the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II. Project participants informed the Patriarch about their activities in Russia and got advices from the spiritual leader. At the end of the meeting His Holiness and Beatitude Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II presented them with commemorative gifts and called them to pray for the unification of Georgia.
